Experience a still typically Caribbean island with its natural beauty up close.

Holbox lies directly on the border between the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico and is one of the last remaining unspoiled islands in the area that should be seen before the relentless onslaught of mass tourism takes hold. The island is only 42 km long and 2 km wide, a large part of which is covered with mangrove forests and is a nature reserve.

Starting from the small port of Chiquila, you'll begin your nearly 3-hour speedboat tour. The first stop is at the natural freshwater spring, "Ojo de Agua," an idyllic spot nestled in the mangrove forest where underground rivers converge to form a small, crystal-clear lake. Here you can refresh yourself or simply enjoy the magnificent view from a lookout point. Afterward, the tour continues to Bird Island. From observation towers, you can watch a variety of resident and migratory birds (during the winter months). The rare white pelican can also be found here during the winter months. On the way to the main island of Holbox, you'll pass Passion Island with its white sand dunes rising from the turquoise sea.

Upon arriving in Holbox, you'll experience the typical Caribbean beaches and the town center. Weather permitting, take a tour in a golf cart; if the roads are very wet, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the center.

After lunch at a beach restaurant with traditional “palapa”, you will drive to an idyllic beach for swimming and take the opportunity to take fantastic souvenir photos.

IMPORTANT: Anyone wishing to drive the golf cart should bring their driver's license or passport.
